Therapies & Services

As a naturopath I work with people holistically which I believe means working with the whole person, their body, mind and spirit, to find the underlying cause of health problems.

What is naturopathy?

What is naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a philosophy that underpins many different kinds of therapies.

One of its main tenets is to treat the individual not the disease. Naturopathy recognises that everyone is unique with their own story.

Therefore, everyone I see receives a unique approach as I’m able to spend time learning about them and their story.

Naturopathy understands that the body has an incredible ability to heal itself and all I do is use the tools of nature to help it along the way.

The naturopathic disciplines that I use are:

  • Nutritional Therapy Nutritional Therapy
  • Bach Flower Remedies Bach Flower Remedies
  • Herbal Medicine Herbal Medicine
  • Iridology Iridology

Nutritional Therapy

The way we eat and buy food has changed dramatically over the past 50 years. We have access to anything we could possibly want and from anywhere in the world.

However, we have lost touch with how to eat to sustain our health and use food therapeutically during times of illness.

I help clients use nutrition to rediscover their connection with their body and to nourish themselves to health.

Herbal Medicine

Plants are the oldest documented form of medicine and over 80% of the world’s population still use them as their primary treatment option. Many drugs from aspirin to the contraceptive pill started off as synthesised molecules from plants.

There is now growing scientific research for the efficacy of different plants that is catching up with the millennia of evidence that has been documented by human use of them.

Herbal medicine works very well with nutritional therapy as many plants are both food and medicine and using them can teach us a more sustainable approach to health.

Bach Flower Remedies

Bach Flower Remedies are flower essences developed by Dr Edward Bach to bring an energetic change on an emotional level. There are 38 different essences and ‘Rescue Remedy’ is a popular blend of 5 different essences that is used to calm people down in stressful situations. As they work energetically they can be used with anyone from children to even animals.

Iridology

Iridology is the study of the iris. Eyes are often described as the window to the soul and it is commonly understood that we can get an awareness of how people are feeling through their eyes.

However, looking deeper at the iris structure and colour can reveal even more about a person from both a physical perspective and understanding psychological patterns.
